Alibaba.com, the largest Chinese B2B marketplace, launched a proper channel for the feasibility of small U.S retailers. The purpose is to introduce the upcoming brands of Chinese products like electronic stock, home appliances, apparel and others items to the small retailers and businesses in the U.S. that are looking to discriminate. The channel in on Ali Express and currently 30 brands are launched. These brands contain AKseries, DeereMarchi, Dilong, Etonian Kidd, Justmatch, Mbox, rip, and VANCL.
According to the general manager of Alibaba.com in U.S Mr. Annie Xu, “We think that the small retailers of U.S want difference and uniqueness in retailing the products. That’s why we decided to open that channel specially for U.S retailers due to which they can find efficient and quick ways to retailing the products”. Alibaba’s another channel Taobao.com is widely used by Chinese manufacturers. So this channel will support them too to find global opportunities to expand their business not only in U.S but also in all the world.
Annie Xu said that for this channel, Alibaba.com has made a number of strict policies to give 100% satisfaction to the U.S retailers. The manufacturers will have to provide customer service the whole 24 hours. Also, he/she has to ship the required product within 24 hours. In the condition of wrong product shipping, the return shipping has no charges. In addition, a manufacturer will have to put a certain amount of money in the form of deposit with Alibaba due to the cases of any dispute refund to the customer (if demanded).

Alibaba.com which is the largest online B2B marketplace of the world announced its Q4 profit for new members. According to the officials, quarterly net profit which recorded is up 46% from new membership sign ups. It is a record in the history of Alibaba. The organization’s officials said that now we will focus on the customer acquirements and will make strong their services to 100% satisfy their customers by providing quick and cost effective services.
About 40% sales of Alibaba is owned by Yahoo which is closely tied to the exports of China due to its website that is connected uncountable international buyers with Chinese suppliers and manufacturers. After the shock of resigning two top executives of the company due to increase in fraudulent transactions on its website, it is a good news for Alibaba which increases the confidence level of its staff. Recently in the start of this year, the company increased the price of its package of Chinese Gold Supplier which is most popular in the world. Analysts said that this could be the reason of increasing revenue in sign up.
According to Alibaba officials, its paying members increased 7.8% from the previous quarter and now quantity has arrived to 809,362. The profit of the company in October and December increased 46% to 410.4 million yuan which was 281.2 million yuan last year. Because of this, revenue of Alibaba.com has grown 37.6% which is now equivalent to 1.52 billion yuan. So this recent increase in the revenue of Alibaba will also increase the confidence level of suppliers and buyers of the company. Also, the negative impact of the company which was appeared due to the fraud cases will be decreased.

The world’s leading B2B organization of the world Alibaba.com announced that companies of Peru can now expand their businesses with the help of international trade union of Peru named Comexperu. According to the latest news from a Chinese e-commerce industry, the purchasing of Chinese goods online from mobile phones is rapidly increasing. This information is shared by Taobao which is the largest online auction and shopping website of China officially operated by Alibaba.com, in its first annual data sharing event held on 6th January 2011. According to the officials of Taobao, mobile e-commerce got marvelous use in last year and more than 17 million unique users visited Taobao thorough their mobile phones on daily basis.
Taobao officials said that the highest range of one-day mobile e-commerce transaction was U.S.$5.58 million. According to the company, the top selling products on Taobao through mobiles were men’s and women’s apparel, skincare items, electronic products, online game cards, food, snacks and other dry food products, handbags, sports shoes, auto accessories, magazines, books and other printing and publishing items. These top goods categories contained 73% of all the mobile shopping transactions which is the highest so far.
The company also showed that 3-quarters of the mobile shoppers were young (age from 19 to 28). Women’s apparel was the most non digital selling product sold over mobiles and two-thirds were men. This is a good news for Alibaba.com. The company can research and try to introduce a new plan or packages for shopping through mobile phones as it is boosting its sales. It is also a good news that the use of digital technology is increasing in China and people are now getting awareness to buy their needed products online not only from pc but also from mobile phones.

After entering into the the market of India, now, the largest e-commerce company of the world Alibaba.com intends to expand its operations in the growing markets of United States and Japan. In Hangzhou, the CEO of the company Mr. David Wei said, “Outside China, these countries are very critical to Alibaba’s success. We want to expand our operations in these countries because a huge quantity of U.S and Japanese buyers are the core base of sellers in China. Investment in these countries will also be stable our presence in China.”
In August, Alibaba published report about its quarterly profit in two years according to which the firm had the bank balance of $1.15 billion. Now, to grow and expand in the markets of U.S and Japan, Alibaba will use different business methods like acquisitions, partnerships and organic growth. In the past same month, Alibaba has also bought a listing and marketing tools providing U.S based site Auctiva. Not only this but also the company has bought an e-commerce firm Vendio earlier in the year.
Alibaba.com said that it was keen for getting more acquisitions. Due to this, it could add technology or commercial applications that are already proven to the firm’s lineup and had more deals in progress. Alibaba is also preparing a plan to open a customer service center in India that will employ up to 100 workers to serve Alibaba.com’s paying sellers there, now numbering around 5,000.
